Introduction to K9 NOSE WORK® Level 1
4 week course (1 to 1.5 hour classes depending on the number of students)
Class Description: Dogs know how to use their noses! They also have a natural
desire to hunt and love using their nose to do this. The sport of K9 Nose Work® is
designed to help you and your dog work together to use these natural abilities. This class will focus on building your dog's hunt drive and teaching you how to read your dog. This sport is a great way to give your dog an outlet for their mental and physical energy. You will enjoy watching your dog do what he really loves. This sport
is designed for dogs (and people) of all breeds, ages and abilities. All dogs will be separate and we only work one dog at a time so dogs that are not comfortable with other dogs are welcome but please clear with instructor first. Register early, class size is limited.
Prerequisite: Dog must be at least 5 months old.

Does your dog have a problem with other dogs? Does even the sight of another dog cause your pooch to act out by barking, growling, and lunging for no reason at all? This is the class for you.
This class is designed to not only help you manage your dog around other dogs but start him on the road to rehabilitation. You will get lots of practice working with your dog around other dogs in a safe, controlled environment. The class will have two instructors and is limited to 4 dogs. Both instructors have extensive experience working with problem dogs and both are Certified Pet Dog Trainers.
The first week of this 6 week course is for the human students only. You will bring your dogs to the remaining 5 classes.
All dogs will wear a Gentle Leader head halter during class and will be desensitized to a muzzle due to the nature of this class.
Please note: This class is not appropriate for dogs that are also people aggressive. Before registering, one of the instructors will review your dog's history to make sure this class is appropriate for your dog.
Some dogs may require private lessons before starting this type of class.
